Ballpoint 01:Childhood

I've been doodling away at work. This was done with a standard black Bic pen over break times five days ago.

Apart from the bird flying directly in front of the kid's face, which was done to cover some serious flaws on the nose and eyes, I'm pretty happy with the result.

I think I'll paint it eventually.

Anyway, this started with the flower pot and I gradually expanded the scenery to a cliff, then added the kid, then the birds and later the other stuff like the sea.

I think this doodle pretty much represents my feelings about my childhood: I saw odd things every day, which fascinated me to the point of ignoring the actual dangers in front of me.
But hell, that didn't bother me at all.
I was a kid, and therefore I was immortal.
I was a kid and I owned the world.
